I approach massage therapy through a trauma-informed lens. My training in somatics, mindfulness and trauma-informed care have led me to develop an approach that I call Restorative Massage. This is not the same as relaxation massage, although it often has a relaxing effect, if that's needed. By supporting each client at the level of their nervous system and offering an individualized, whole human approach for each treatment, this approach facilitates increased self-awareness and embodiment, decreased pain and stress and improved function of the nervous, respiratory and musculo-skeletal systems of the body.
